The Xiaomi 17T Pro is a high-end mid-range smartphone billed as the "Telephoto Master," launched in May 2026 as part of Xiaomi's refreshed T series. It's co-engineered with Leica to bring professional-grade mobile photography to a more accessible price point, featuring Leica Summilux optics and creative shooting modes that continue Xiaomi's partnership with Leica Camera AG.

The phone's standout feature is its exceptional telephoto camera system, which includes a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and up to 120x AI Ultra Zoom capability. This Leica 5x telephoto is paired with a 50-megapixel primary camera using the Light Fusion 950 sensor with a Leica 23mm f/1.67 lens, plus a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, creating a versatile triple-camera setup designed for photographers.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro features a massive 7000mAh (typ) silicon-carbon battery, which Xiaomi claims is the largest-capacity battery in any Xiaomi Series phone internationally as of May 2026.

For battery life, Xiaomi quotes approximately 1.88 days of heavy use. In standardized battery life tests, the phone lasts around 21 hours and 37 minutes. With medium use, the 17T Pro can comfortably last two days, and even with heavy use involving navigation and taking hundreds of photos, it still provides a full day's charge comfortably.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro features a professional Leica triple camera system co-engineered with Leica, complete with Leica Summilux optical lenses and enhanced anti-glare coatings. The main camera uses a 50MP Sony Light Fusion 950 sensor (1/1.31-inch) with f/1.67 aperture and OIS, offering significant improvement over the standard 17T's smaller sensor. This 23mm focal length camera supports 2.4μm 4-in-1 Super Pixel technology for better light gathering, making it excellent for everyday photography.

It supports Qi-standard wireless charging technology, confirmed by Taiwanese NCC certification. Additionally, the 17T Pro is the only model in the 17T series to include wireless charging support, while the standard 17T does not have this feature.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro features a large 6.83-inch eye-care AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution (2772 × 1280 pixels) and 447 PPI. The screen supports up to a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and gaming, with a 480Hz touch sampling rate and 3500Hz instantaneous touch sampling for responsive interaction.

For comfort and eye protection, the display includes DC dimming with 3840Hz PWM dimming technology and features Xiaomi Vision Care with multiple certifications: TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light, Flicker Free, and Circadian Friendly. It also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision for enhanced HDR content viewing. The flat screen has ultra-slim, symmetrical bezels on all sides, giving it a premium, balanced appearance.
